My feelings on the PS4

Ok, I know a lot of people are excited about the PS4, and I'm sure that it might end up being a great video game system blah blah blah please don't get butthurt by my opinionts etc.  But I have to say that I think there is no point in creating a new Playstation video game system.  The games are expensive enough, why should we have to buy more crap when the gameplay will be unaffected.  I mean sure there will be less lag on games with updated GPU capabilities.  But, I'm sure that we can only be amused for 5 minutes with the cheap thrill of gimicky motion controll additions that don't mandate the creation of a new system.

Now I'm gonna say that even if the new systtem had something ambitious like video glasses that sensed the position of your head, to make it virtual reality, which it just might, that can be added by putting out a new accessory for the existing PS3.  I know I went on a tangent there, but my point is that Sony does not need to put out a new system to add innovation to something already innovative.

I have an idea; why not make more games other than repetitive FPS's like a sequel to Saints Row The Third instead of putting out the same formula with soldiers shooting eachother over and over again.  And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying anything bad about FPS's, there's nothing wrong with that Genre, but it gets tiresome to just see the video game industry to put out nothing but that.

Anyway, in conclusion, I'm not paying 500 dollars just so that I can put a microscope to my TV and see the very skin cells on the character models.

Update: 6/29/2014: I got a PS4 on my 28th birthday, 4/23/2014.  And (I know you're not supposed to start a sentence with a conjunction, I don't care) the only reason why I actually didn't return it was so that I could play InFamous: Second Son, which also didn't live up to its hype.  Most of the time, the melee attacks are useless so you have to constantly be draining from sources of smoke to do anything.  It's like Sucker Punch fired —all of the people who worked on the first game— because they actually wanted to put time and effort into making the game good, even though they didn't need to.  I could look it up and find out if that happened, but I don't feel like it.

Anyway, there's no Start and Select button.  Start and Select are sacred buttons on a controller of any system and guess what the PS4 has?  That's right no Start button and no Select button, the Start button has been replaced with an, "Options" button and you just press on the touchscreen if the game was originally on an earlier system.  That's very convenient because it's so easy to press select, you might accidentally press it when rapidly mashing buttons whilst playing strider.
